This store is run by Escape From DayZ LLC (EscapeFromServers@gmail.com). It keeps as little about you as it can.
What we keep
- Your Steam64 ID, from signing in through Steam, and your Steam display name if Steam shares it. We never see your Steam password.
- What you bought and when: plan, status, renewal date, and for a gift, who it was for.
- Your Stripe customer reference, so you can manage your subscription.
- Which creator's link or friend's invite you came through, if any, so they can be credited for what you buy.
- Your email address, only if you sign up for wipe news, with when you signed up and the words you agreed to, so we can show that you asked.
We do not see or store your card number. Payments are made on Stripe's own pages, and Stripe keeps your payment details and billing email under its own privacy policy.
What it is used for
Only to give your Steam account priority on the server, to let you manage what you bought, to credit the creator or friend who sent you, to handle refunds and disputes, and to keep the records the law requires for sales. If you signed up for wipe news, to send you wipe dates, patch notes and occasional store news until you unsubscribe, which every email lets you do in one click.
Who else sees it
Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (which hosts the store), and the Escape From DayZ servers, which receive the list of Steam IDs that have priority or a test-server pass. If you signed up for wipe news, the mailing service we send it with receives your email address and nothing else about you. A creator sees how much their link earned them, never who bought. If you came through a friend's invite, they see only that a friend's purchase is settling or has earned them a week, never who or what. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
Why we may use it
We use your Steam ID and purchases to give you what you bought (our contract with you), and keep sale records because the law requires it. Crediting a creator or a friend, and preventing fraud and chargebacks, are our legitimate interests in running the store. Wipe news is sent only because you asked for it, and you can withdraw that at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email or on My subscription.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Short-lived ones (ten minutes) protect the Steam sign-in and linking Discord. If you arrive through a creator's link or a friend's invite, one more remembers that for 30 days so they are credited; the Remove link on the store's banner deletes it. No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long
Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently up to 7 years. When you unsubscribe from wipe news we keep the address, the Steam ID it was signed up from, when you signed up and left, and the words you agreed to, so it is never emailed again by mistake and we can show what you agreed to. Ask us to delete anything else and we will.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to correct or delete it: EscapeFromServers@gmail.com.
